Matias is probably the most dangerous fighter at 140lbs. Hits like a train gotta great chin and is just relentless with the power punches to body and head. Ergashev was meant to be a solid title defense and he battered him

That's Matías 5th undefeated opponente in his last 8 fights. & he's willing to fight anyone & wants to unify. The question is ¿Are they willing to face Him?
For example Prograise is one that first said if Matías wanted to face him, Matías would have to win a title, so Matías won a title, then he said Matías wasn't at his level & kept on with excuses till now that Prograise got this fight against Haney(obviously Haney is a much more lucrative fight than Matías)

If Matias has no paperwork saying he MUST fight under the PBC banner, then to hell with waiting.

Ergashev was deemed mandatory, right? So Matias won't be bothered by the IBF anytime soon. He could make their lives easier and just go down the rankings until someone agrees to fight him. There's a lot of decent names ranked in the IBF: Hitchens, Taylor, Catterall, Garcia, Hiraoka, Rodriguez, Ramirez, Barboza, Smith. Some of these guys need more experience. I wish Catterall would abandon the Taylor fight and go after Matias. Catterall and Matias are both guys that people aren't really seeking to fight. The guy who fights Matias will earn good will with the fans. The problem is $$$ related, as it usually is. Ergashev was paid about $150K last night, no TR/Matchroom fighter is gonna settle for that. Hell, no PBC fighter will get in the ring with Matias for that either!

Exactly! PBC isn't the only game in town. Matias is one of the best fighters in the sport of boxing, he needs to be showcased on a regular basis.

Subriel is a monster. He's stopped 5 undefeated fighters in his 20 fights. Some of them huge punchers and he avenged his only loss.

Glad to see my boy Matias finally get his dues. He's a wrecking Machine and no one at 140 can deal with him.

You've got that right Regge, it would be a situation where Matias would train to cut Haney's exits off, and force him to fight.
He would ultimately catch up to Haney, and knock him out, thus adding another undefeated fighter's scalp to his collection of war trophies.

Glad to see Matias getting his props now. I been saying for a while he's the real deal and last night proved it. Erga was no joke he's a beast yet Matias made him look ordinary.

Would be nice to see Matias defend his title in San Juan just to stay active and get a huge fight on Canelo-Benavidez card or Lopez-Matias at the Garden.

This is one fight that I really want to see, Lopez, and his dad would start talking ****, pissing off Matias who would then knock the crap out of Teofimo.

Matias isn't a PBC fighter - he's with an independent outlet last we checked. He can basically fight anyone, anywhere and has no problems taking what's offered to him.

What blows my mind is that Matias hasn't fought in NYC yet. It's damn near a rite of passage for Boricua boxers, and it's typically a sign that the fighter is on their way to stardom. PBC hasn't made a concerted effort to build the profile of one of their most entertaining fighters. A Puerto-Rican slugger should be one of the easiest boxers to market. If HBO/Loeffler could build a Kazakh at MSG, then what the hell is stopping PBC from building Matias at MSG?
