All these dumb dudes can’t take the fact that Tank is not a PPV star! Pernell was a hell of a fighter, and was never a PPV star! His first PPV was vs Chavez, his second was vs Oscar and his third was vs Trinidad. Leonard didn’t do much as PPV because his fights were televised on open t.v. However if you go by talent, and live gate. Pipino Cuevas a welter weight camp from Mexico did huge live hate PPVs compare to Leonard and was was less talented than Leonard was. You see a lot of times you can’t just go on talent to do big PPV numbers, you need that angel of knowing how to get to the fans by being clear on what your message is before the fight! You think Boo Boo Andrade would have had been on PPV before Benavidez? Shakur is another example of big talent but very small star power. There's some truth to this, I know Ryan says some dumb things but wether you like it or not, Ryan did bring in his groupies to purchase this fight. Tank never brought big ppv numbers nor did Ryan, the fact of the matter is that is it was a combination of both fighters that brought in the buys and neither fighter will do those kind of numbers again unless they fight someone who people actually know. An example is look at Crawford vs Spence, that fight did 800k, does that mean that their ppv stars? No, it just means that it was two fighters well known and people were interested, when Spence and Crawford go and fight regular Joe blow on ppv, they won't come close to those numbers, I do know that Spence had better success than Crawford with his ppvs but he never got close to those kind of numbers, same goes for Tank and Garcia they will need a well known dance partner to bring in the big money. There's only a few boxers through out history that were true ppv draws, and by that I mean that those fighters themselves were able to bring in the money no matter who they fought, they were true superstars, and none of these guys are that....

I liked it better when it was about the number of quality advertisements sold. I won't pay $60 or more to watch a fight on TV, but I'll certainly watch a bunch of paid ads.
