No, the reality is that boxing needs to stop paying insane purses for every single time the big guys fight. If it’s not a sought after fight then lower the purses and the promoters need to have the scrote to tell the primadonnas they are killing the sport

Morrell certainly is an unproven talent, lot of hype behind the kid but it must be for something, only time will tell once he secures that 'before & after' big fight .

Benavidez has said that if he gets past Andrade and doesn’t get Canelo next then he will fight Morrell. He ain’t scared of the Cuban.

I ask, who does the non hardcore fan even recognize in the super middle besides about 2 or 3 guys? A ridiculous excuse. Its a self defeating attitude for the sport of boxing. Because without more of these superfights getting made, the casuals wont watch, other than when a couple of guys they heard of fight.

Ronny is not his manager, he already gave the okay to fight benavidez. Mr. Hearn already took one of his fighters four fights ago out of Morell jr path, ryder.

Now that you mentioned and thinks that finding a boxer to face Morrell Jr is easy, why not Morrell Jr vs pacheco, just to get the next ko.

And if I was managing, advising or promoting him, I'd be getting him to take a lot of English classes.
He is taking English classes, for sure, that's why he is in Minnesota and not in Miami. For every boxer he faces, they have to overpaid. The English promoter, the one in the article, had a boxer to face Morrell Jr a couple of years ago, it was supposed to be the Cuban 6th fight and for the right to be the #1 contender. After the fight Hearn took his fighter, ryder, in the very first flight out the country and told everyone that his fighter would be moving up in weight to fight bivol. He never mentioned Morrell Jr again, until now, and look what he's saying.

Because nobody thinks he is a chump, that's why you moron. Nobody wants to fight him.

Unfortunately, Eddie is right! Morrell Jr. is VERY high-risk, low reward! I wish Plant would fight him, or Shiskin!!!

Morrell is in a tough spot , credible opponents don't want to fight him to build him up to where the top guys have no choice but to fight him , the top guys don't see the reason to take the risk , and if he just beats up on part timers ,he (A) Doesn't improve or stay sharp , and ( B) gets criticized for fighting sub par competition.
