Shakur is supposed to be super talent ( and he is) BUT like Rigo and Lara talent is not it takes to make a superstar boxer. He did not rise to the occasion. Many champions have fought injured and put up much better efforts. He felt DLS power and decided he didn’t want anything to do with it.

Yea well it was up to DLS to cut off the ring and force the fight which he really did not do so he deserves the loss. If Shakur was so feather fisted, and possibly even compromised with a hand injury, he should have walked through all the pitty pat and deliver the power shots that could have turned the fight around. He didn't, so calling him out for being a runner means nothing.

Very rare to see both fighters do nothing to press the action. Both of them are terrified of getting hit even once. Normally, you'd see one put on a high guard at close range and intentionally let the opponent hit him just to open up. None of that happened. They're like doing dance steps where one steps forward and the other steps backwards. No touching, no twirling. There's zero engagement.

That's a false way of thinking that just because a guy can get away from a punch quicker means he's a "super talent" that's straight BS.

Tell me where's Shakur ability to punch someone who doesnt engage, or his chin,, power, heart that's real talent..

Ppl have to stop this BS that if a guy can run away from a punch faster than others then he must be some "ultra talent" lol

Super talent to me in boxing is someone who knows how to throw and land punches, and set traps. Shakur proved yesterday once again he is NOT a super talent. He is another Corey Spinks. Kids these days have no idea what super talent really is anymore.

That was the most boring boxing match I have ever seen.

Trey Shaw, every single post you make on this website is made with racist motives. No exceptions.

If Stevenson were Mexican, you’d be telling us how great he is.

Not at all fan friendly, BUT, if WINNING is the objective
                  ''Running'' > brawling once again.
I think ''running'' is pitching a shutout.

And I'm definitely not a fan of ''runners''

He’s a swindler and a hack, who is now the proud owner of the s#ittiest title fight in boxing history. f#ck him!
Exactly man, you got it, excellent point, I was just about to post this.

That's the m.o. of all these runners and huggers, they play a game of cat and mouse and the key to beating these runners is to not chase them period. Don't chase the safety first runners around and keep it in the center of the ring.

Gotta give lots of props to Edwin's coach, the guy is smart and knows his stuff.

Edit: Forgot to add, for all those that say "cut da ring off doe," once Edwin does that and closes the distance on Shakira, what does Shakira do? Shakira ties up and illegally holds, hugs and wrestles Edwin.

Game is rigged, can't fight these sissies if they don't want to fight back.

Very depressing fight. Neither of them came to fight. It was like watching a snake handler taunting a cobra, move back away at the slightest movement of the venomous animal. Nothing impressive.

That's how it went. They're terrified of getting hit. So you made him run, so what? You lost and you didn't even get your retirement money.
