Comments Thread For: David Benavidez: My Last Fight Went The Distance... We're Gonna Correct That And Stop Demetrius Andrade

David Benavidez has every intention to resume his knockout ways. The unbeaten former two-time WBC super middleweight titlist stopped his six previous opponents but was forced to go all twelve rounds in his unanimous decision victory over Caleb Plant. Their March 25 clash at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas saw Benavidez surge late to preserve his win but heard the scorecards for the first time in five years.

I like David but if he couldn’t stop Plant, even though he was holding a lot the second half of the fight, there is no way he is stopping even an older Andrade

Plant should have been DQ'ed for excessive holding. He was in far worse shape than the Canelo stoppage and hanging on for dear life....and that fight likely took years off of his career, it should have been stopped.

Don't know if Benavidez can stop Andrade. But I will not be surprised if so. David is only getting better and stronger.

Benavidez has looked a little acnefied in recent interviews. Ahem.

I hope David realizes the judges will go in favoring Andrade and awarding him for clinching and air jabs mark my words.

David has to dominate or stop Andrade if not he's gonna get screwed by judges.

Anyone expecting a close fight is a heck of an optimistic. I think, I can be wrong, that benavidez washes Andrade quiet easily

If Beni can't run down a smaller man, his chances look slim vs the big boys. It's a big jump from Booboo to Bivol.
