20k Says Mayweather wont fight Clottey, Berto, or anyone from 154lbs.

Floyd Mayweather has said he will not wait for the Cotto-Pac winner and is scheduled to fight early 2010. He has also said under no circumstances will he fight Mosley.

If that is indeed true then that leaves a very small crop of semi-worthy opponents for Floyd at welter. Namely Berto and Clottey. I've got 20k that says Floyd will fight neither and damn well wont fight anyone from the 154lb division either. Any takers???

That leaves us with Floyd fighting another half-ass tuneup against some barely noteworthy challenge that's going to be made to appear like some sort of humongous hurdle for Floyd to overcome.

    P.S.

For the love of god please dont let there be a Mayweather-Judah 2.

Why would he want to fight Berto, clottey. What have they done to deserve a shot?

Because Floyd is a welterweight fighter. If Floyd is not waiting for the Pac-Cotto winner AND putting Shane Mosley out of the running for his next fight....those 2 would be the only 2 other welterweights relevant enough in the top of the division to be remotely worthy of a shot at Floyd.

Pretty much im saying as non-deservant those 2 fighters are at a shot at Floyd. I've got 20k that says Floyd ends up fighting an even smaller, inferior fighter for his next fight.

        I agree..

I mean, if Floyd says Mosley is out the running, wont wait for Pac/Cotto winner.. then who will he fight?

If its not Clottey, Berto then who? I think hes just saying that maybe for "business" reasons, cause I'm pretty sure he wants all his fights to be big exposure wise and im pretty sure people want him in the ring with a legit WW now.

if floyd fights another tune up, i have no idea how floyd stans can still defend him... I mean that's indefensible.

Do you guys really believe he's not gonna wait for the winner of Cotto-Pac?... He doesnt call him self "Money" for no reason, he mearly said that statment just to give the impression of "I dont need those guys"... But you bet your ass he's gonna wait for the winner of the fight cause there's not other big name fights out there and he already knows the masses wont stand for him to fight anyone but Cotto/Pac/Mosley... So he's gonna wait just running his mouth

I'd give him a pass if he fought Paul Williams or Cory Spinks or Sergio Martinez at 154. But my entire bet is that Floyd goes lookin for a smaller and/or inferior fighter to fight.

I think Mayweather is going ot wait for the winner of PAcquiao and Cotto. If he takes another fight hes going to have to wait alittle bit longer. I dont think he fights more than 3 more fights in his career

I doubt he fights anyone that doesn't bring serious cash to the table. Clottey doesn't sell, the average joe doesn't know Berto.

I think Floyd waits for Pac-Cotto winner, or he fights SSM.

I just don't see any other fight being worth it. No way does he take on Paul Williams.
