Do you think Pacquiao can beat Clottey at WW?

I think Clottey should be the favorite. I don't think Clottey would KO Pac. Yes Clottey is strong but he is not a power puncher. He couldn't KO Corales(RIP) and Diego was shot when they fought. And, honestly I cant remember when was the last time Clottey scored a stoppage. IMO Clottey does not have that IT. And, I think he should win. But, at the end Clottey would allow Pac to outwork him. And, Joshua would do just enough to lose a very close controversial decision.

Nah man, Corrales wasn't shot. He fought really damn hard for all ten rounds. He wasn't the old Corrales but neither was he shot. He still threw good combinations and still had the same speed, he fought all the way through each and every round as good as usual but he just got hammered from pillar to post.

Also, Clottey was just about to stop him. Corrales was so beaten up by the tenth round he was ready to go. If you look over Corrales' career, he was only stopped early by Csamayor which was due to cuts, otherwise he has been able to get back up after each KD and fight on apart from the rematch in which Castillo came in weighing much more than him.

Corrales was the same size as Clottey though and had actually carried the weight pretty well. He fought good but wouldn't have been able to beat any of the top WW's.

Anyway, if it was a 12 round fight Clottey would have knocked him out easily. Last two rounds he had been knocked down badly and both times got a lot of extra time by spitting his mouthpiece out again. Just my two cents.

No, Clottey is just a little bit too big for Pac. If he was a smaller WW I think Pac could take it, but not in a head to head match-up. Clottey would be able to get inside, just like Hatton did, but unlike Hatton, Clottey would really work him over inside. Clottey is a brilliant inside fighter and his left hook, straight right hand are brutal.

Clottey also fights southpaws very well. As you saw with Judah, Zab nearly always wins the first four or so rounds. Clottey split the first four rounds and then started breaking Judah down badly with those lead rights and uppercuts. He would do a similar thing to Pac in my opinion. Shoot the lead right, get inside where he can then really rough Pac up, **** him around and work the uppercut and left hook to the body.

This is a fight in which the size really would play a big difference because Clottey is so physical. Pac doesn't stop people from getting inside like Mayweather or someone. Usually though he can just out-fire them with his offense and out-speed them but Clottey is very fast in his own right and the speed difference wouldn't end up playing that much of a role.

Clottey by decision with Pac a very tired, mauled fighter by the end. Clottey too big, too physical, too good inside.

P4P though is a completely different story. Pac by decision due to activity and stamina. But Clottey would be a handful for anyone from WW to MW right now due to his defense, inside fighting and his combinations. His only flaw is his activity otherwise he beats every WW today easy. Still, against Pac he would take it by UD. Clottey is bigger than Cotto easily and while Cotto is a small WW (which is the other big reason Pac's fighting him), he will still outweigh Pac by a lot. The difference between Clottey and Pac though would be a large weight difference as well as a big size difference whereas Cotto is the same size as Pac but will just weigh more.

Can't say until Pacquiao fights Cotto. If Cotto's size and power doesn't mean too much against Pacquiao, I think Pac could win a decision against Clottey. He sure as hell wouldn't KO him.

nah, i dont believe in favouring big fighters to small fighters. its over rated.

i can give you enough examples as to why small people hold their ground againts big people.

size aint ****, both have their advantages and disadvantages. 50/50 fight imo.

Pac does have the speed advantage but I'll wait till the Cotto fight to see what is up. If he demolishes Cotto, I'll give him the edge but if he gets wobbled a lot, I'll stick with Clottey. I know what you mean about sometimes smaller fighters having some advantages over bigger fighters, usually speed and movement but there has to come a point when size has an influence. I mean look at the Klitschko brothers, they are so big with such a reach advantage that people have a hard time getting inside to be effective.
