Better Hopkins win; Trinidad or Pavlik?

Probably the 2 best performances of his career. Both were undefeated before they fought Bernard and known as big punchers. Trinidad had already beaten many top guys and was well established as a great fighter when he fought Hop, but Hopkins was 43 when he fought Pavlik was 26 so I think they are kind of even. I gave every round to Bernard against Pavlik but gave 1 at most 2 early rounds to Trinidad because hopkins didnt do a whole lot. But he knocked out Trinidad and didnt put away Pavlik, though I think if he had another round he might have. He was an underdog in both fights. They seem kind of even to me what do you think?

Trinidad, of course. Tito is a sure bet HOF and possibly a top 100 ATG and was considered the heavy, heavy favourite going into the fight. He was filling in really well as a middleweight and just knocked out solid fighters in Vargas and Joppy. I don't think the press gave BHOP a chance.

Trinidad. Tito was 40-0 coming off of a crushing KO win over Joppy. He was a 7-1 favorite to beat hopkins.

Although the Pavlik win was impressive, it was mostly impressive because of Hopkin's age. Few would have favored Pavlik to beat Hopkins in his prime.

True. Trinidad was the better win. The way he outclassed Pavlik was a boxing masterpiece but what mainly made it so big was that people didn't think he still had the speed and the stamina to do what he did. The win against Tarver was also impressive.

Trindad was big time back then. He was like a Mayweather.

Trinidad. It would be the equivalent of Cotto kicking Pacquiao's ass. Except Hopkins was an unknown to the mainstream.
