To answer the question. No Joe would not fight him. But, I think he should of before he retired. And, if they would of fought I like Chad by a very close decision.Comment

Joe is retired, so no. He had no reason to fight Chad, although it would have been a decent fight. Rather unfairly, nobody outside boxing circles even knows who Chad is; JC would have racked in far more cash with a B-Hop rematch.
I don't see any way Dawson would have decisioned Calzaghe, although he might have possibly have stopped him.Comment

If Calzaghe beat Dawson people would only say Dawson was all hype anyway. So what's the point.
As a fan, it's a fight I wanted to see, but since Joe already had planned to retire long before he did, I can understand why he didn't fight Dawson. Personally, I think Joe didn't feel the need to prove anything to himself, nor did he feel like succumbing to the pressure to always have to beat the next young up-and-comer. He is 37 years old and has been boxing for 25 years and his hands are ****ed.

IF Calzaghe came back, then by the time he did come back, he'd probably have been out of the game for a couple of years. I reckon he would have a bit of ring rust IMO especially as he isn't in his prime anymore.
If he had fought Dawson right after the Jones fight, then Calzaghe by a wide UD but now, i'm not so sure? Dawson's skilled.Comment
