Comments Thread For: Francis Ngannou: I Knew If This Fight [With Fury] Got To A Decision, I'm Not Winning

By Keith Idec - Francis Ngannou knew he had to knock out Tyson Fury to win their 10-round, non-title fight Saturday night. The former UFC heavyweight champion wasn't naive about the situation. The same Saudi investors have fully funded the Fury-Ngannou and Fury-Oleksandr Usyk events, yet Ngannou was well aware that upsetting Fury would've severely

Good performance cong**** now let's move on & make Ngannou vs Wilder while Fury vs Usyk the winners face each other. Wilder always said he do MMA & a 2 fight deal 1 MMA 1 boxing with Ngannou. BEFORE the fury fight I like most thought it was dumb & thought Ngannou should only fight wilder power vs power & wilder doesn't box @ all just a measuring/patting jab then boom right hand basic 1 -2 shh honestly

He was 200% better than anybody could imagine he is Top 5 Heavyweight now. I would say he is better than Mayweather he never fought a current world champion in his first fight show some respect

I would say a draw was fair. Fury outlanded him by 12 shots the whole fight. Ngannou landed more power punches, was the aggressor in there and got a knockdown.

BUT if Fury had done what Ngannou did - he would have won. We all know they were looking to make him the winner no matter what

ALSO any other top-10 HW beats Ngannou without breaking a sweat...

Ngannou is the lineal heavyweight champ. That's all I'm referring to him as. it's a fact.

                  " 6-foot-9, 277¾-pound Fury carefully approached the 6-foot-4, 272-pound Ngannou "

                  Fury isn't 5 inches taller than N.

I came to work today to talk about the fight to my MMA co-worker and he said, yo wtf, was up with that fight? He missed the fight but saw the after pictures. He said it looks like Fury got his ass beat and Ngannou didn't have a single mark and that Fury was dropped. Despite that, Fury won. He laughed his ass off and said, no wonder nobody watches boxing anymore. Same **** different event.

I usually laugh everything off with him and when he goes into how MMA is better, including this. I'm like, you know what, it was supposed to be a a farce, it turned out better than that for Ngannou. This doesn't change boxing politics and the landscape of how it should have gone.

I do think Ngannou should be ranked within top 5 heavyweights probably. He gave the heavyweight champ one of his toughest fights in years. Something others could not do. That should speak volumes.
