His trainer knows whats best. Hes been with back throughout is development for awhile now. Pac had a few tune ups with through out the higher weights. Despite peoples opinion on his opponents. They know what Pac walks around with... weight wise and wanted to know how well he could perform at that weight. Well he has showed us he can take shots. Showed that his Power has improved rather than diminished...KOd every opponent into submission. Most of all his hand speed has improved. So he has the tools. He has the skills. All thats left now is to sit back and enjoy the fight.
What makes Pacman and his fans think he can compete against welterweights??

Greatness.
Same thing that enabled Sugar Ray Robinson to compete for a light heavyweight title despite weighing in at 157.5 lbs.
* Disclaimer: I'm not directly comparing Pacquiao to Robinson.

There's no WW right now anywhere near JMM/Morales in terms of skill (exception PBF). Pac has met that skill (while still a one dimensional brawler) and expanded his boxing ability and has settled into a more comfortable, natural weight (we all know he was big for those lighter weights). He's now a natural, solid jr WW and he potentially has the skillset and physical ability to carry on to WW (didn't PBF do the same a few years ago?!?)
Some people think he doesn't belong in WW which may be true but until November we won't know.Comment

Really, thats what I'd like to know. This guy is just not made to fight as a welterweight. He had problems with super featherweights and lightweights like Morales and Marquez. That Pachuggers and ****** Roach believe he can not only beat, but STOP Cotto and Mosley and their likes is just ludicrous.Comment

What makes me think he can compete with top welterweights is the ultimate attribute for climbing up in weight: speed.
Pacquiao's speed and the power that results from that speed has allowed him to get this far, and I don't think welterweight is too far up for him.Comment

I honestly don't think Pacquaio can hang with the welterweights. He's too small to fight above 140. But considering he's chasing legendary status, Manny will at least attempt to beat one or two top welters (Cotto and Mayweather). If he fails on November 14, he'll be forced to move back to 140 and finish his career there.Comment
