    Having crow for breakfast

I stopped posting on this forum months ago due to the amount of fanboyism I frequently ran into, but the thread is not about that.

This thread is about how I've always looked down on the notion that MMA fighters could hang with boxers in a boxing ring. I replied to some threads about Ngannou's chances in an overly confident and arrogant way months ago, so imagine my surprise when Fury gets dropped and barely escapes the ring with a win over a debuting boxer and former MMA champion.

I apologize to all MMA fans out there, and give credit to Ngannou for a great performance. He's an impressive specimen and would've made one hell of a boxer if he would've been able to pursue a career in boxing instead of an MMA fighting career.

I don't really care if Fury didn't train, is shot or on the decline, this was a big win for MMA and I hope Ngannou gets many more multi-million dollar boxing opportunities in the future.

I hope Fury's okay after the embarrassing outing he just had and doesn't fall back into a depression. I really wish he would have just fought Usyk this Spring and given us a chance to see an undisputed heavyweight champion in the four belt era. But he got greedy and this is what we have now.

Snobby boxing fans were just humbled (starting with me!) and have learned our lesson (the humble ones at least, the emotionally fragile might remain in denial). Well played MMA and cong****!
