I think the WBC situation is a red herring as I gather an exemption can be applied for anyway. If there's enough pressure to get the fight on it will happen. I think the problem is the fighters' passivity when it comes to telling their promoters what they want.

Bivol has to file an exemption with the WBC. He has FAILED to do so according to Mauricio Sulaiman.

That said, both were seen together in Saudi Arabia and maybe something was said between them and it can finally happen.

If it happens it happens in 2024.

I don't think anyone likes doing business with another promotional outfit, but most of them will do it. IMO events have shown it wasn't Bob & Bud that were putting up road blocks for undisputed 147. There was also Bob saying after the Zurdo fight that he wanted to do Beterbiev/Bivol and he walked that statement back after the WBC comment so who TF knows. It seemed like almost everyone was working AGAINST this fight lately though. Sucks as a fan, but we all know Boxing prefers to cater to the casual boxing fan rather than the die hards like us.
