Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury, Frank Warren Noncommittal On December 23 As Date For Oleksandr Usyk Fight

Oleksandr Usyk still wants to fight Tyson Fury on December 23. Fury and his co-promoter, Frank Warren, weren't so sure Saturday night that will still be the date of their heavyweight title unification fight. Fury suffered a small cut on the lower left side of his forehead and some swelling around his left eye

Didn’t fury say in an interview with sky sports before this fight that contracts are signed for 23rd of December and if usyk doesn’t honor that date then usyk will be stripped of his belts!?!? ****ing joke of a performance and imo this is why people are turning to mma instead of boxing as they see fights like this and think boxing is corrupted…….well done Francis Ngannou

This is what happens when you sell your soul for some money! Should’ve just went with the Usyk fight in the first place. Now his legacy is completely shattered

I feel there is zero chance we see the unification in December. Fury is unpredictable and a tad off, but he is not ******. Usyk is fresher, has better stamina, and will have had way more time to recoup. I will take "March 2024" in the "When he feels like it" sweepstakes.

Side note... This next comment is only for those on this site that get offended by it, no one else need worry: If all you critics are sure Dubois "exposed" Usyk with one flash knockdown punch, which Usyk than followed up with a performance the rest of the way which resulted in a knock out, what just happened to Tyson Fury over 10 rounds?

Not sure if his "legacy" is shattered- a win over Usyk makes this a footnote. But his "levels above everyone else" aura is sure nothing but broken glass all over the floor, that is for sure. Not to mention Usyk and his team are chomping at the bit right now as well.
