  • Wow, a pretty incredible, composed performance from Ngannou. He was very accurate, although economical with his punches, and making sure his stamina would be good.

He knocked down the lineal heavyweight boxing champion of the world, and many think Francis won.

The world is an even bigger oyster for Ngannou now. Fury can get hurt and knocked down but credit to him, he gets up every time.

There is no way on earth that Fury and Usyk will fight each other before the end of 2023. Fury needs rest and to recover because he took some punishment.

    • Abysmal fight. Fury loses to Usyk.

      • I was disappointed in Fury yesterday he looked really bad and embarrassed himself saying he will end the fight whenever he likes then gets dropped ect he needs to get his head on straight and get back to business unless he really is shot now.

Enjoy crying into your cereal this morning
I don't give a dog sht about Fury who I find often annoying, he and his whole family.

What could make me "cry in my cereal" is how fighting sports fans are ****** and negative and what it tells about humanity in 2023.

I love boxing and won't call a lineal HW champ of my sport who dominated Wilder twice and Klit a bum just because he had a garbage night. It's just toxic behaviour IMO and it's not fair.

I don't understand why many watch boxing on nsb.
Guys can't enjoy fighters for what they are and every weekend fighters who lose get roasted.

Everybody here called Wilder a bum when he lost to Fury.

AJ a bum when he lost to Usyk.

Usyk a bum cuz he got dropped by Dubois.

Everybody called N'gannou a bum when he lost to Miocic 1 in MMA.

          Now it's Fury turn...

If bums can be millionnaire and HW champions then I think you guys should pick up gloves and do your thing.

              • As a fan, while watching the fight initially, I thought Ngannou might have edged it but that was more of an emotional judgment because Ngannou outperformed his expectations while Fury underperformed his expectations. But considering that boxing fights are not scored on emotions or one knockdown or how good one looked but round-by-round, I think the decision was okay.

I have watched the fight again and I scored it as follows:

                Ngannou wins rounds 3, 4, and 8.
                Fury wins rounds 1, 2, 5. 6, and 9.
Rounds 7 and 10 are more open for anyone to take or simply draw.

I am more inclined to give round 7 to Fury. So, my score would be between 96-93 and 95 - 94 in favor of Fury but I can understand if someone gives both 7 and 10 to Ngannou (making it 94-95), which is what one judge did.

                • Fury won - i don't see how people are calling it a robbery. The rounds which Ngannou won he won clearly, including the knockdown 10 8 round. In all other rounds Fury outworked Ngannou, albeit not by much, but he still did enough to win the rounds. Taking that into account you should reach scores of 96-93, 95-94 to Fury.

                  • I think Fury's underwhelming performance was a result of Francis' incredible power. There is no one in the heavyweight division quite like francis; who has thick legs and is as able to generate as much power as all while being fairly athletic with a decent boxing IQ. Once Fury felt the power he had to be cautious and of course had to protect the Usyk undisputed fight. This came at the sacrifice of his offence. However he was also making mistakes in there like moving backwards in straight lines. Not his best performance by a long shot but enough to get over the line.
