Co-sign. What a ******, ignorant, and illogical comment on his part. It assumes some people can't manage their time and give 100 percent to different activities and/or responsabilites. It suggests that Diaz's focus on education was a reason for his loss. And even it the latter statement were true its illogical to assume that same thing is going to happen to Henry because people are different. I could go on and on...

This Omar Henry already started talking garbage. Small group (Puerto Rican) of people. This is not about selecting what ethnic group, this is about to represent where your blood are coming from. If he thinks he is not Puerto Rican, it’s okay with me, but then represents USA or whatever other country he believes his roots are. You cannot represent the whole world, because he was not born everywhere at the same time, neither his father, mother nor grandparents, he is just an ignorant ****** guy.

        Good choice.

Post-boxing he'll have success with the college degree.

So I just buy the news whether it be true ( and hope) or not.
he goes on some other forum where there are lots of ricans... and these ricans told him not to betray the Island.

the community college excuse is a cover.

          2. He loses nothing/very little by not taking this 'opportunity'. There seems to be some kind of delusion that him sparring with Pac will get him massive exposure and career chances, but I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the people on here couldn't name the sparring partners that Pac used for Hatton, or the sparring partners that any top boxers used for fights more than a month or two ago.
c'mon dude.. urbano made some noise from the sparring... former sparring mates of pac include israel vasquez, khan, holloway... etc...

if you can hold your own against a high profile fighter like pac, then that gives you some credentials...

guys like spadafora, kid diamond, even peterson got some shine from sparring with floyd... JLC is a former sparring partner of JCC...

so sparring with a high profile boxer gives you some exposure.

Link or it did not happen. And IF what you say it is true then I retract what I said about the respect part.

bad decision by henry. community college will always be there. opportunity to spar with a international boxing star like pacquiao & the perks that come along with it will not.

what's 1 month to miss of classes at HCC southwest? He's only taking pre req classes. He could have done both. Get the tremendous exposure & go back to classes. He's only 22, pacquiao will only fight 1 or 3 more times. How many times with cotto?

Pacquiao sparring partners get play in hbo 24/7, philippine television, hell even david rodela got play in ring magazine, & just the overall boxing establishment.

He could have done both. I think deep down inside he didnt want to upset the rican fight community. The college thing gave him the excuse to do it.

I respect the kid for having his priorities straight. He looks up to Cotto and probably will work with each other in the future. Sparring with Pacquiao means nothing. The kid is going to miss a whole semester of College to fight a couple of rounds with Pacquiao, big ****kin deal.. Oh I forgot... Pacquiao is the Mesiah now...

He Knocked out a very overrated Hatton and a worn out Delahoya so that makes him the KING of boxing... Give me a break... Bunch of bull**** if you ask me.... Can't wait for Cotto to knock this guy out so all of you mainstream followers could stick your tongues up ur ass.

What is his 1# priority? Does he want to be a boxing star or a political scientist? If his 1# priority is to make it in boxing he would have accepted the sparring assignment.

                      You're talking about Shawn Porter.
