no Hopkins started as a kid. won locally in Philadelphia some tournaments etc. went to prison. started up again in there, won there and got out and went straight into boxing pro. Sergio Martinez was fine and athletic. extremely overrated. and I not sure when he started honestly. know he didn't want none of GGG for years. don't get promotional fooled. its their jobs to make you think that. also, go watch Hopkins on Joe Rogan couple weeks ago. you'll find out alot on him and what I have told you

Sergio Martinez started at 20 and regardless if you feel he was overrated, he was a top 3 p4p fighter at one point who beat Pavlik and Paul Williams. Ray Mercer started at 23 and became a gold medalist and hw champion. Wilder started at 20. Anthony Joshua was 18. Ken Norton was 24. Sonny Liston was 19. So of course it’s much more beneficial to start earlier but all of the above went on to have significant success as world champions. Imo it’s pretty comparable to other sports whose athletes have started late.

Tom fxcking Brady?
GTFOH
The pretty boy the NFL changed all the rules for so he wouldn't get hit so hard?
That's the dude who's so tough he could be a legendary boxer?
There is nothing about Tom Brady that screams that he'd be able to hit people in the face or be hit in the face for a living.
He was awkward as hell as an athlete, which is why he didn't run often.Comment

Sergio Martinez beat Paul Williams and Kelly Pavlik easily. For a guy that started boxing at 20, his run at MW was nothing to sneeze at. His resume is way better than Charlo.
