'To be honest, I haven't gotten any respect from the boxing community, so I am not expecting anyone to respect me,” said Ngannou. “I think I need to claim my own respect. Respect is not given. You don't just walk out there and demand people to respect you for no reason. I think respect is earned, whether it's the boxing community or life in general'.
Those are very wise words & I do respect Ngannou. Fact remains, he's never boxed before & he is fighting one of the best fighters in the world so how do you expect this to go?
I expect Fury to be waiting for the uppercut ala Mike Tyson....and for Ngannou to instead bodybag him. Ngannou won't win on skill. He won't win on power. His only (slim) chance is to win on strategy.
