The USA isn't producing any quality heavyweights, cruiser weights, light heavyweights, or middle weights?

Historically speaking, LHW and CW was never popular with the casual audience.
As for Heavyweight, the old timers only remember Ali and the modern fans only remember Mike Tyson.
Since GGG is now semi-retired, Middleweight is in a transition stage right now.Comment

I don't know why people always mention basketball stealing boxing talent. Most basketball players are gangly messes who could only play basketball or volleyball or another height biased sport.
Guards in the normal height range could be good in boxing but aside from the rare Barkley type most non guard basketball players are accidents waiting to happen.Comment

No, that is not much to look at. Anderson will be KO'd when he moves up. I can all but guarantee that. His defense is lacking. A prospect for sure and on my top 15 heavyweight prospects list ... not at # 1-5, but will find him at #6-10. Only two Americans are on my prosepct list. I you haven't see it, you should take a look.Comment

That could be said for most countries. There's much bigger sports than boxing in many countries with quality fighters...so it's no excuse.
The truth is the higher weight classes stopped being dominated by USA once the ex soviet union countries could enter pro boxing. It only took one generation of ex Soviet kids to get to grips with pro boxing and they pretty much took over the higher weight classes.
Of course British fighters like Fury and AJ have had good heavyweight success in recent years, but the reality is you can pretty much pinpoint the decline of American boxing in higher weight divisions with the emergence of ex Soviet countries entering pro boxing.
The truth is Eastern Euros/Central Asian men are generally much tougher than Americans.
USA still has success in lower divisions but they're barely men, they're the size of teenage girls. Its basically a midget sideshow.Last edited by deathofaclown; 10-28-2023, 08:12 AM.Comment

One day the NFL will be internationalized ...the money in the game dictates it. Germany and England are in talks with the NFL to get a team. That will do it. And these are some of Eastern European big men and Central Asian big men who given time ( they need an American football avenues starting in college ) can make future NFL players. I have yet to see the NFL produce one very good boxing prize fighter.
The USA midgets are mostly out of the boxing business in the extreme lower weight 105-122 lbs and upper weights 168- 201+lbs due to lack talent.
We have a few tattooed up fighters who resemble thugs and Tank is one of them for the fine city of Baltimore. A good fighter he is with a thug like list of crime he is.
Form Wiki:
On September 19, 2017, an arrest warrant was issued for Davis, who was being accused of first-degree aggravated assault. According to Maryland court records, the alleged incident took place on August 1, 2017, but did not indicate who was involved or what happened. An amount of $100,000 unsecured bond was posted for Davis' release. Davis was due to appear in court on October 19.[79] The charge was later changed to misdemeanor second-degree assault, which carries a maximum potential sentence of 10 years or a fine of $2,500 or both. At the court, Anthony Wheeler, a childhood friend, complained that Davis punched him on the side of the head with a "gloved fist". He then stated he was diagnosed with a concussion at the hospital. The incident took place at the Upton Boxing Center in West Baltimore. It was said that Davis would stand trial on November 29, 2017.[80] In court, the charges were dropped by Wheeler. The Baltimore Sun stated that Davis and Wheeler both embraced and walked out of the courtroom together.[81]
On September 14, 2018, Davis was arrested in Washington, D.C. According to a police report, he and another man started a fist fight. Punches were being landed around the upper body. It was said that someone had tried to break up the fight and both men tried to flee before the police arrived.[82]
On February 1, 2020, Davis was arrested on charges of simple battery/domestic violence against his former girlfriend. The incident occurred at the Watsco Center at the University of Miami during a basketball game where he was seen grabbing the woman's shirt "with his right hand close to her throat" and dragged her to a separate room.[83]
On March 22, 2021, he was indicted on fourteen counts for allegedly running a red light after a November 2020 birthday party in downtown Baltimore. His Lamborghini SUV struck another car and left it smoking, sending its four occupants to the hospital, including a pregnant woman. He allegedly left the scene in a Camaro that pulled up minutes later.[84] On February 16, Davis accepted a plea deal that saw him plead guilty to leaving the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, failing to notify an owner of property damage, driving on a suspended license and running a red light. He was sentenced on May 5, 2023, to 90 days house arrest and 3 years probation .[85] On June 1, 2023, Davis was taken into custody for violating the terms of his home detention, and sentenced to serve the remainder of his sentence in jail.[86] 44 days later, on July 14, 2023, Davis completed the confinement portion of his sentence and was released from a Baltimore jail.[87]
On August 21, 2021, Davis was on board a Gulfstream 4 that suffered a nosewheel collapse and subsequently skidded off the runway at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. He and the thirteen others on board sustained no injuries.[88][89]
On December 27, 2022, days before he was due to fight Héctor García, Davis was arrested and jailed in Florida on a charge of battery domestic violence.[90] In the audio from 911 calls, a woman was heard begging police for help and saying "he's going to kill me." Police observed an abrasion on the inside of the woman's lip, with Davis accused of striking her with a "closed hand type slap."[91] The woman eventually recanted her accusation, and the Hector Garcia bout pushed through.[92]

I’m not really interested in your list tbh. There aren’t 10 HW prospects to care about.Comment
