    I think a lot of us criticised this matchmaking and were proven right. Linares will hopefully retire now as he’s a shell of the fighter he once was. Catterall got the win but didn’t impress whatsoever, I think Jack’s a really talented fighter but he’s far too passive. He’s not going to secure a big fight cruising to a decision against a shot Linares.

      My complaint is Cat is actively looking for sub par comp. He claims he beat the best. Hes living on a questionable call, but hes hunting grandpas. Not exactly working on his merit.

        A big problem is he’s not a draw. You couldn’t give tickets away for that fight in Liverpool. I got offered free tickets by about 5 different people in the weeks leading up to the fight.

        Catterall is the type of fighter who’ll need to work his way into a mandatory position in order to get a shot. Matchroom should be looking to get him a final eliminator instead of putting him in with a shot Linares purely for the name value.
