  • Comments Thread For: Demetrius Andrade Isn't Ruling Out a Future Run At 175 Pounds

He isn't old in the traditional sense of the word, but Demetrius Andrade, at least from a pure boxing perspective, is nearing the end of the road. At the age of 35, he's accomplished practically everything that he wanted. Multiple title reigns in separate weight classes, generational wealth, and of course, a spotless record.

Bro is going to end up like Adonis Stevenson if he moves up one more weight class.

He needs to marinate at Super Middle. He has the skill set to stay relevant at 168.

Boo Boo is just showing his smarts Fighters are generally not dumb when it comes to sizing up opponents. They know who to f..k with and who not to f..k with That's why today in boxing, u see most fighters calling out certain fighters, while never mentioning certain other fighters by name. Some fighters names are almost never spoken, as if they're invisible. Boots Ennis is one such guy. When Vinny the Chin was boss of the Genovese, made guys would point to their chin rather than say his name. They knew what would happen if it got back to him. When ppl talk about Boots, they just point down to their Timbs, but they don't say that word. Ppl are kinda terrified of this guy. Beterbiev is another guy. Who the hell calls him out? Morrell is another. There are very few guys today who say, "I want every boxer in or around my weight, with no exceptions" Ain't too many of those types around anymore

No he can't. Having the frame is one thing but booboo don't carry power. If you look at Mike McCallum, the reason he could be competitive at 175 is that he bought power. Obviously, he didn't get as many stoppages at 175 as he did at 154 but that shows, the guys just are bigger & stronger. Even a LHW wouldn't want to take a shot from McCallum. I think most LHWs just will walk though anything Andrade has.

                Let's run through 168 first..

Even though, no 168 fighter is beating Bivol, and definitely not Beterbeiv...

Mine as well leave that division alone for a few years..
