Too bad these two, each coming off an impressive performance, need to face each other so soon. Either would defeat Zbik, the interim WBC titleholder, and probably IBF titleholder Sylvester too. It would be better if they won world titles first, before fighting each other.

The middleweight division has a lot of talented up-and-comers, and these are two good examples. This will be a very competitive match between two young world-class boxers.

This should be a good fight, I think Macklin is just a level above Pirog at the moment though.

I don't know anything about Pirog to be honest. I checked boxrec there and it seems he hasn't been matched too carefully along his career, judging by the records of his opponents. Kind of impressive for a 14 fight career.
