Yeah, Bread knows boxing, but he doesn't understand bookies.

If you make a book and you see enough business to be flat and you don't make money, you're not making your odds correctly.

Appreciate the mailbag, Bread. Next week, maybe you can elaborate on Showtime leaving. Huge monumental event that affects the entire industry. Is this site even still going to be around anymore?

I can. But Canelo is held more accountable because unlike other guys, he has the ability to pick and choose who he fights. Other fighters don’t have that same luxury. So in his case, he making strategic moves to avoid certain threats while masking it because he could just fight another so called “champion” because on paper, it looks good.

Great point brought up in the Mailbag today. Add to that also that Canelo fought one of the current 175 lb champions too, though he lost. The other 175 champion hasn’t even done that yet.

It’s pretty crazy to think about. The guy has beaten or been in the ring with almost every CURRENT champion in four weight classes. That is about as solid as a resume can get.
Like Floyd, he has the ability to pick & choose who he fights and when he fights them.

          Guys like Crawford don't .

That's why you actually have to watch & follow the sport because "cash cow" fighters can cherry pick who they fight & when they fight them to enhance their resume, while guys who are really "bout that life" can't get fights because they're on the "wrong side of the street".

Canelo has had 3 divisions to fight Andrade, won't do it.

Wouldn't fight a Charlo until they were both inactive & injured & 2 weight classes behind

Waited until GGG was 35/36 years old and even then lost on most people's scorecards

Won't fight Benavidez, who he could fight tomorrow if he wanted to

Wouldn't go near Beterbiev with a Gatling gun

Instead, cherry-picked Kovalev & Bivol, but Bivol was better than everybody thought :lol1

He's a great fighter, but, like Floyd, is EXTREMELY opportunistic in finding low-risk/high-reward fights.

Look, he is a cash cow and he has a privilege to actually chose who he wants to fight and when.

And still, his last fight is 2 division smaller guy. That is why I don`t respect Canelo much. A very opportunistic protected cash cow.
