He won't fight Mosley...but if Cotto beats Pac he might take the chance. As for not being on fire recently...can you blame him!? He fought 3 elite WW's...Mosley, Marg at the time was considered elite, and Clottey. They all give you problems.

I don't agree! If anything I think Cotto and Mosley are about equal there.

He won't go toe to toe...cause May would def be much bigger, and Floyd won't leave himself open to a Hatton style KO.

We would basically be giving Floyd millions more to win another easy fight!!!

I know some of you will get upset with this, BUT I guarantee you this is what will happen.

On the other hand, Cotto would be a legit opponent for May. Not only because of the size difference, but because he has become a good, if not excellent, boxer and body puncher. Can I see May beating Cotto? Absolutely, BUT Cotto has a better chance than Pac cause he will show Floyd pressure like he has never faced. Not only this but Cotto knows how to cut off the ring, and his power will def have May worried throughout the fight. Another thing is for sure...he won't be able to knock Cotto out.

The only other person I could see beating May is Mosley, but we all know that won't happen!!!

Hasn't changed my mind about wanting to see Mayweather Jr.-Pacquiao, but that's a well expressed post. Better than the usual fare served up round here by posters who are partial to a fighter (as you are to Cotto). Kudos.

I also want to see Mayweather Jr.-Cotto just as much as Floyd-Pac, btw. LOL

i wouldnt consider clottey elite. i consider him as a good, tough fighter that happens to be quite big for a ww.

I remember I got into that debate with Ch@mp. Shane is the much harder puncher, has the much better right hand also.

not for me and you could use the margarito fight as a pointer. margarito has 1 of the best chins in boxing, and cotto hit him with everything he had but couldnt drop him. where as those right hands mosley landed on margarito did drop him and at least looked a hell of alot harder punches than cottos.

Even before the Cotto/Clottey fight I knew he would give Cotto problems. I actually gave Cotto propz for keeping the fight that competitive. Clottey is #3 of the WW's so he is def an elite fighter.

he isnt even in the top ten p4p tho. just because you are number 3 ww doesnt mean your elite.

The Marg fight shows that Mosley does have power, BUT it also shows that he also came in with a specific game plan to use power to KHTFO. His camp most likely had him increase his power, and add a great gameplan to that...you get Marg getting KTFO.

If Cotto would have held (which he doesn't), and had his camp train for power he would have had the same result, but since that didn't happen we will never find out.
