    Stagnant light heavyweight division

It is sad to see that for such a long time Beterbiev and Bivol haven't fought for an undisputed fight.

Beterbiev is aging, and it seems like alls they do is fight their mandatories.

We do not see fans really talking about them anymore because it seems like many have given up on them two fighting.

These are the things that are HIGHLY distasteful in the sport and one of the major issues it has and that I mentioned in my previous post (How to Save Boxing).

The Light Heavyweight Division has turned into the Middleweight division with stagnation and a lack of excitement.

    Your thoughts.

LHW is stagnant due to politics and injuries. Bivol and Beterbiev are with opposing networks/promoters, which always causes issues. The WBC created an additional obstacle by saying that Bivol's Russian nationality disqualifies him from fighting for their title.

Beterbiev/Smith hasn't happened yet because of Beterbiev's injury:
WBC/WBO/IBF light heavyweight world champion Artur Beterbiev’s title defense against former super middleweight world champion Callum Smith—originally scheduled for Saturday, August 19, at Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Canada—has been postponed due to a bone infection to Beterbiev's jaw. He underwent surgery earlier today in Montreal, Canada.

Bivol has been inactive because Buatsi, the opponent that Matchroom was lining up for him, decided to bail for a rival promoter in BOXXER. Since Bivol decided not to face Canelo, he's now in limbo.

Buatsi/Azeez just got postponed due to injury.

All them reasons make it stagnant.

I feel to a degree these fighters can really push fighting each other and demand whome it concerns (their superiors) to get it done.

I see them complacent with their mandatories. It looks like they really aren't in a rush to fight each other, this has been going on for years also.

Yeah but I would worry more about Beterbiev getting old. Biev is more at jeopardy of getting hurt in Bivol fight.

Now, I understand that there has been obstacles, but they could have fought yers ago and they just seem too complacent with mandatories.
This is exactly why fans out there aren't really looking out for them in the sport of Boxing in general.
