I'm so sick and tired of people from the MMA community coming out and dissing boxing and claiming that MMA is a bigger sport than boxing...When MMA produces culture icons like Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, George Foreman, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Jake LaMotta, Rocky Marciano then you can stake a claim, but for now and the next 100 years keep your F#cking mouths shut....do i have to remind everyone that Muhammad Ali was voted Sports Illustrated and BBC Athlete of the Century - MMA will never become as great as boxing

Boxing is over 100 yrs old, of course it's going to have a lot more prestige and history to follow and will have produced more iconic people, MMA has only been a mainstream sport since the early 1990s and only in the last 5 years has gotten real noteriety. Like someone else said, It's like a 30 year old making fun of a toddler because he can't tie his shoes properly. How the **** is that fair?

but WTF kind of sport is it when you can just lay don't on your man and win the fight (kimbo vs nelson)
