So far, Cotto is sparring with 3 welterweights

Kenny Abril (Popular Jr. WW from Rochester)

Fred Tukes (A 36 year old WW)

Frankie Figueora (A WW who recently sparred with Cotto during his last fight againts Clottey and is preparing for his upcoming fight on Nov. 4 againts Rashad Holloway)

Hopefully these guys can emulate Pacquiaos move and help Cotto come Nov. 14.

Calderon for all reasons should be on that list, it will help boost Cotto's reflex and timing.
Frankie is a slick boxer. He'll be great for sparring.

He is more technical and a better boxer, but this is Cotto and Cottos Record speaks for himself. If he can take good shots from Shane, than he can also take the shots from Pacman.

Theire are way too many preditions and too much thinking about the fight. Imo a good gameplan can change the whole outcome of the fight. Imo Pacman will try to make it a tactical battle and he has to. I expect a fight plan like in the De la Hoya fight, in and out, trying to steal rounds, trying to frustrate trying not to disturb Cottos rythem. Pacman has to be very fast and agile, than he can win the fight. But Cotto is a very patient and he can adapt and turn around the outcome. It will be a very good fight.
At this time, it's a toss up. There are questions both fighters present.

Will the weight affect Cotto? Is Cotto damaged goods? Is his new trainer capable enough to guide Cotto in the right direction? Can he handle Pac's speed? Can he pull off the upset? Can he knock Many out?

Were Manny's last two fights a fluke? Can he take Cotto's punches and not fold? Is the catch-weight to Manny's advantage? How will he do against a legit welter weight? Can he knock Cotto out?

These should be answered on fight night.

Every day they come with some ****** thing, now they are talking that in couple of week of training Pacquiao is SUPERMAN and is stronger than the previous fight with Hatton. Let me tell you something, I need commentators like you and other keep talking good about Pacquiao, the higher the bet the better pay I will get when I bet my $500. So is okay to keep inflating Pacquiao, but one thing I am going to say, the first punch to the right flank Pacquiao get, he will run in bicycle and motorcycle that even the states trooper won’t be able to get him. When Mr. ‘meaito” urine (piss) hit couple of time Pacquiao he got in bad condition, just imagine when he gets a hook from a real welter weight in the liver site and a right straight punch to the temple area, after that you will count 10 seconds and call paramedic and has the helicopter to transfer Pacquiao to the trauma unit.
              WOW!!
              what a brave challenge....
keep your 1500 so that you will still have the incentive to return here after this fyt.

pac's best at fyt nyt is 147-148.

pressure ryt from bell 1; in-out sniper shots, spin off cotto to his sides, left-ryt crosses to the head,...cotto will look like a "wayward spinning top".

Manny's speed is his only advantage I see in this fight so far. Speed kills, and if he connects with a punch like the one he landed on Hatton, it's good night. Even Cotto said in an interview that the punch Manny landed on Hatton would of KOed Tyson, so even he has to be careful of the speed.
pac's power is still underrated.....people are in for another big surprise of their lives.

cotto once believed pac's power...he still does.
cotto is hounded by this power of pac....he will be very wary and cautios of that fact!!
