It didn't seem like Campbell made adjustments to get back into the fight, more that Linares just let him back in. Now that the speed and reflexes have surrendered to father time he will be a shadow of his former, but at his peak he was sublime (in patches).
Like I said I always thought he was a solid world level operator but just never elite but he did have some really good performances but the guys he did fight at lightweight like crolla and mitchell decent fighters but he should be beating them and in the mitchell fight he had trouble he was down on the canvas and down on the cards before Mitchell got pulled with a eye injury so you're right he was inconsistent and the Campbell fight I thought Campbell was a world level fighter probably one of the best fighters from the UK not to win a world title and I thought he edged out Linares when they fought but it was razor close. But obviously now he's what lates 30s lost his last 3 fights and if catteral wants a world title shot next against one of the top guys at 140 he needs to be getting rid of Linares at this point
