I am pigsick with all this “Mexican v Puerto Rican” talk that comes around so often. That used to be reserved for GREAT matchups that produced GREAT fights between GREAT Mexican and Boricua fighters. Now it’s thrown around at will with every tom, ****, and Hank no matter what hat level. It’s used so much that as BB King said, the thrill is gone. Eddie Hearn has really overused that selling point and I wish boxing media would stop letting him get away with that
garfios garfios Ropeydope Ropeydope like this.

Berlanga & Munguia are both flawed.50/50 fight that makes sense for both fighters and should be easy to make.

This kid seems to be absolutely convicted to make people not like him. I think I look good with my shirt off after a few glass of whiskey, but I certainly would never go around telling people that

Agreed. It amounts to lame identity politics. Let them be judged by the content of their skillset rather than their country of origin.
i feel the same about Eubank vs Benn. Hearn is selling it based solely on the accomplishments of the previous generation. False equivalency.

It’s traditionally a great rivalry and gets two of boxing’s big fanbases engaged.

It’s never going to go away.

Berlanga and Hearn are made for each other. Hearn knew Canelo was walking when his contracted ended with Matchroom but stayed quiet.

Berlanga and his handlers are idiots for not insisting that if Canelo wasn’t with Matchroom he can break the contract. Matchroom, is desperate to sign good fighters so they screwed dumb dumb Berlanga lol

If Oscar fought Berlanga , now. I would bet on DeLaHoya.
