Comments Thread For: Bomba Gonzalez Team To Revisit Teraji Unification Bout After October 27 Title Defense in Managua

Jonathan 'Bomba' Gonzalez has a small window of opportunity to revisit a title unification bout. The reigning WBO junior flyweight titlist received his marching orders for 2024, should he prevail in his upcoming title defense. Puerto Rico's Gonzalez is due to face Gerardo Zapata atop an October 27 ESPN Knockout show from Polideportivo Alexis Arguello in Managua, Nicaragua.

Gonzalez has to concentrate on defeating Zapata in his upcoming title defense, shouldn't even be talking or thinking about what comes after this fight.
Because if he loses the fight against Zapata, he won't be getting a unification fight against Teraji, Zapata will, so Gonzalez better stay focused.
He's also fighting in this opponents back yard, which means that he's not going to get any consideration from the locals, he's going to have to win the fight convincingly.

Whether it be Gonzalez or Zapata, I just hope a unification can happen for Teraji. After seeing Inoue go for his 2nd undisputed, it seems like the longtime stal***** of the lower weight classes are becoming more willing to challenge for undisputed as well which is nice.
