Taylor would be by far his biggest win
Miranda is a fellow slugger, I would fancy Abraham against most who are there to be hit.

This fight will probably go one of two ways.

Like Froch/Taylor, where Taylor completely gasses after 8 and gets KO'd.

Or like Taylor/Lacy, where Taylor keeps the shorter man at a distance with his jab for 12 rounds and manages to avoid being hit with big shots to win a wide decision.

The main caveat with the first option is that Abraham doesn't pressure his opponents as steadily as Froch, so Taylor is somewhat less likely to tire.

The main caveat with the second option is that Abraham is a more accurate power puncher than Jeff Lacy, so Taylor will have to work harder at avoiding his shots.

Taylor is by far the best opponent AA will face and stylewise JT has all tools to win. Imo this can be a comeback fight for Taylor, but AA is very hungry and I go for a KO win by AA. Taylor best chance is to go for a stoppage by the early rounds and continues to pressure him and interupt his fast and powerful combinations. AA has shown sometimes endurance problems, but the mostly concured of the weightdreigning. AA has to fight very intelligent, but he showed his ringintelligence in some fights and he is more hungry than JT.

This fight can problably a fight of the year candidate.

AA got skills, but not a res. I agree he's untested, sans the Miranda fights.

I will say Gevor looked good last time out against Sturm, I though he won too.
Still can we safely say that Jermain Taylor is without a doubt the best opponent Abraham will have fought? Can we also confirm that Abraham is not the best best fighter Taylor will have fought? I would say that Hopkins is levels above AA in all terms except for 1 punch ko power.
I notice that AA seems to be a heavy favorite in this fight but at the same has obvious disadvantages against Taylor in terms of skill, natural talent, & big fight experience. There are many flaws in AA's game that Taylor should be able to easily exploit the the UD win in my view. Even in losing by ko to Froch, Taylor was able to win most rounds and expose Froch's flaws. That loss I think is what has driven Abraham to the position of being favored to win this fight in the minds of many fight fans. Abraham is favored still even he has not shown the ability to handle a fighter of Taylor's Caliber while at the same time JT clearly has all of the tools to win still. So one last time I think I am going to put my faith in Taylor to use his skills and talent to win the UD against Abraham.
            yes..............

To answer your question: YES! He's very unproven on an elite level unless you consider Miranda elite, which I don't. Jermain will show the world what Abe is and is not. That, my friend, is a promise.

Correct on all points! One more thing you could throw in there about the decision theory, is the fact that they will meet in Berlin. I'm not criticizing European judges, but hell let's face it.. Americans have been robbed by American judges when facing a foreign opponent.

He hasn't actually done ****, and fight for fight his title reign is probably the most pathetic list of nobodies that any current champ has fought.

One thing that is blatantly obvious is that any of the top guys at 160 or 168 would also be undefeated with a lot of knockouts if they had fought the exact same resume as Abraham.

Arthur Abraham might be more proven that Zsolt Erdei, other than that there is no champion with at least 5 defenses who has done less to prove his worth.
Great post. prince arthur is very unproven and some could argue he's a hypejob with the amount of attention he's gotten without actually fighting any elite opponents. When the best guy you've fought is the crude slugger Miranda who Kelly ruined you know you're not tested at the highest level.
