Yes he is unproven vs elite opponents, like many other young champions are in todays boxing, but he has consistently been impressive and we will get to find out soon how he does in the tournament.

I agree this will show what he is really made of because he gets a couple chances in the tourney. I think next to Kessler ppl think he has the best chance to win and at this point that view is based on what, looking good against contender level fighters? I just thought about the tourney and his fight with Taylor last night and realized that he shouldn't be this heavy of a favorite against him and there is a strong possibility he could get shut out on the cards......That is if he is not what he seems.

I think alot of guys will find out alot about AA on Oct. 17.......I think I've seen enough of his fights to feel safe with pickin' JT to UD him.....but because of the crookedness here in Germany and all over for that matter......he'll get a SD!! ......AA is STRONG but I see JT easily outboxing him!!

From what I have seen I would say his best wins are against Miranda who is a solid contender level fighter who has great power just like Abraham, and Gevor who is another contender level fighter that Abraham stopped in dramatic fashion. I will say Gevor looked good last time out against Sturm, I though he won too.
Still can we safely say that Jermain Taylor is without a doubt the best opponent Abraham will have fought? Can we also confirm that Abraham is not the best best fighter Taylor will have fought? I would say that Hopkins is levels above AA in all terms except for 1 punch ko power.
I notice that AA seems to be a heavy favorite in this fight but at the same has obvious disadvantages against Taylor in terms of skill, natural talent, & big fight experience. There are many flaws in AA's game that Taylor should be able to easily exploit the the UD win in my view. Even in losing by ko to Froch, Taylor was able to win most rounds and expose Froch's flaws. That loss I think is what has driven Abraham to the position of being favored to win this fight in the minds of many fight fans. Abraham is favored still even he has not shown the ability to handle a fighter of Taylor's Caliber while at the same time JT clearly has all of the tools to win still. So one last time I think I am going to put my faith in Taylor to use his skills and talent to win the UD against Abraham.
Abraham is an accomplished former champions at MW, what have the likes of Berto etc proved?

What does Berto have to do with anything? I am saying AA looks good but has not fought elite level fighters and JT is by a wide margin the best fighter he will have fought, nothing more I am not trashing him. This fight and the tourney will be a proving ground for him.

he is relatively untested but so was froch when he fought taylor
i think AA will win this,he gets stronger and the fight goes on and JT gets weaker
its not just taylors staminia thats a problem, its his mentality aswell and im not sure that can be fixed this late in his career

if Taylor gasses out then Abraham will take stop him, ok his resume may not match Taylor's, but one thing I see more in Abraham than Taylor, and that is heart, it won't matter what Taylor does to him, he will come forward all night, waiting, looking for his chance.

I'm split though, if it goes the distance then I favour Taylor, if Taylor starts labouring then he's good as finished imo.

If JT improved his stamina, he will have a great chance here but if not, we all know that AA is stronger in the later part of his fights, like 9th rd and up and if JT blinks only a slight moment, AA will be all over him and that may end up with JT sitting on the canvas with mouth open again

Like it or not Abraham is the real deal and has proven it i believe. He certainly should beat Taylor because of the Stamina issue if it stil;l exists. Gonna be an interesting fight but if I had to pick I'd bet on Abraham stopping Taylor late or getting the decision.

Agreed. I think Jermain Taylor would be his biggest win.
