Tyson Fury vs James Toney ?

Both in their prime and Toney fighting as a fat heavyweight was still one of the best defensive heavyweights ever top 5 easily noticing Fury has problems with slippery boxers how would this fight play out ?

Guessing that Toney's heavyweight run isn't as good compared to how competed at 160-175, would probably go with the skilled undefeated natural heavyweight whose an entire foot taller and withstood the power of a puncher like Wilder.

But then again, I am making an uninformed opinion without watching his fights.

i don't think fury would worry about getting knocked out so he would probably come with a more offensive gameplan. neither one of these guys is stopping the other, so this really comes down to how fury decides to fight and how serious he takes it. if he's going to box and move..he wins, definitely. if he tries to walk toney down and be busy with offense, he gives toney a very good chance to land counters and possibly win a decision but still most likely outworks him. toney and fury fighting on the inside would probably be pretty fun to watch given their abilities.

however, toney was never really impressive at heavyweight. back then the cruiserweight limit was 190. he had a bunch of fights weighing more than 190 in the late 90s and early 2000s but didn't fight anyone that was a competent heavyweight until way past prime holyfield in 2003. toney never fought anyone nearly as tall as fury so i could just be waxing nostalgic to a time where toney was a great fighter at 160/168. he most likely loses a very wide decision, possibly a shut-out. big toney fan btw
