Isn't Jose Benavidez a lifelong welterweight - the guy that Bud got criticised for taking so long to put him away as he has a bad leg from the gunshot injury?

So how the fugh is Jermall getting away with pulling him up to 160 (if its even at 160 as I'll be amazed if Jermall can make that) - Charlo has been absent for 2+ years and still doesn't defend against his mandatory and instead is trying to talk himself into a Canelo fight - boxing is more business and less sport than ever

David Benavidez vs Andrade is a damn good fight.

Jermall Charlo vs Jose Benavidez, however, is a terrible co-main event.

I don’t know if I will be purchasing this one. Unless the undercard gets a significant upgrade. Or the price gets lowered from the usual $85

Of course we’ll pull for our own. La Raza will be pulling for theirs as well.

Why bother with making it a PPV? The only reason I see for this is for them to get the fighters more money. But, it would have been a great move to have it on regular showtime to get more eyeballs on the product and wider exposure for these fighters. Considering that these two fighters aren't massive names, I don't this PPV doing great numbers. But, I wish nothing but the best to both fighters and their camps.

This fight illustrates EVERYTHING that's wrong with boxing. Neither of these guys are PPV draws -- not even close. The general population has ZERO clue who either is.

So, what does the #boxing business do? Put this fight on PPV. It won't clear 200K buys. Nice job, boxing, which always looks for the short-term cash grab over long-term growth.

Is it? Boo Boo will run all night, and Benavidez isn't skilled enough to chase him down or cut off the ring. This fight has a ton of boredom potential.

I usually buy the fights, but there is no way this horrible card is getting my money.
