If a casual boxing fan like you could come to this conclusion about his career, then surely boxing pundits and analyist should feel the same way.
I'm not saying floyd isn't a great fighter, nor that he might be the greatest fighter of this generation... but he hasn't been fighting a murders row of opponents. surely you must acknowledge this.

He's only been p4p king for 3 years. 05,06,07. with his last year had some writers calling for him to give up his crown to pacquiao.

Yeah all of them have different fighting styles but they do have something in common. They are the top WW contenders. While those whom Floyd fight are who? top contenders of LW/JW? what do you think?

After the win, too much heavy praise for a 32 year old undefeated welterweight champion former 154 lb champion taking on a career featherweight 36 year old 55 plus fight lightweight champion.

Im glad to see a lot more boxing scribes come to their senses in analyzing & putting the win vs marquez in its proper context.

Had Floyd fought and won in this fashion against the WW elite it would be understandable but he could have and should have got Marquez outta there. How many think any of the other WW elites would have let Marquez go the distance? I think only a few on here would say that.
