that's what i'm thinking too.. Duarte solid & looks risky but hasn't fought any name opposition... he's tough though. yeah, Oscar is probably tired of Ryan

Yea I'm lowkey thinking this too. Seems like a dumb ass move, but its Oscar so.......

Shoulda put him in with JoJo, who ppl know, & it'd be a bigger fight that does more for everyone involved.

Just watched some clips of Duarte. He throws nice compact punches, not wide hooks, I like that. He definitely can knock out garcia. We seen garcia dropped against a luke campbell then come back and hurt 35 year old luke with bodyshots but this duarte is 27 a young guy. Garcia is all offense no defense a bit like amir khan. If you are going to fight a big puncher, first thing you want is great defense.

i remember when gesta had a lot of hype surrounding him in the late 2000s/early 2010s. this was around the time that vanes martirosyan was supposed to be the next crossover superstar

when i first saw him fight, i thought he had great potential.

but he never diversified his fighting bag like pacquiao.

                  just head hunting for KOs.

sad. he had the athleticism and power to be a truly great fighter but didnt have the brains. unlike pacquiao.

I honestly thought that would happen before his fight with stank but it didn't happen. then a comeback fight to put some more stock on jojo and payday for both guys and good in house fight but wrong both times.

Oscar ain't letting cryan leave without a few losses. Assuming cryan doesn't pull out claiming mental issues again
