"The fight with Duarte (26-1-1, 21 KOs) would be Garcia’s first under new trainer Derrick James, best known for his work with Jermell Charlo and Errol Spence Jr." Hmm, that doesn't sound so good right now.

Unknown guys with high KO ratio and 1-2 decision losses, you have to be aware of. Just ask Victor Ortiz when he fought Marcos Maidana.
Can’t underestimate a puncher because they haven’t had a big win yet. Ryan could be his big win.
Another thing is Duarte is not a small guy either, I wouldn’t put too much stock on him coming up in weight.
I do lean on Ryan Garcia, just saying, Ry shouldn’t underestimate him. Neither should the fans.Comment

Well he cant fight any worse than he did against Davis.
Wait, Derrick James is training him. Duarte by KO.Comment

Agree. I think this is a riskier fight for Ryan than most do. I kinda don't love this fight cuz it'll be an L that looks worse than it is if he does lose cuz no one really knows this guy. GBP should be putting him in with a name guy who is at this level or below him imho. Obv would still pick Ryan, but this fight doesn't make a lot of sense for a guy who was just in the biggest PPV of the year even if he was on the losing side of it.Unknown guys with high KO ratio and 1-2 decision losses, you have to be aware of.
