Comments Thread For: Jermell Charlo: That Was My First Time Feeling A Woozy Shot; I Recovered Really Fast

LAS VEGAS - Jermell Charlo had never been hit as hard in a professional prizefight as Canelo Alvarez nailed him with a right hand early in the seventh round Saturday night. Charlo, who was backed against the ropes when Alvarez split his guard with that right hand, took a knee several seconds

All that talking for nothing. I guess Jermell is a Dog, an all bark and no bite type of dog.

Looks like team Clenebutol cherry picked right this time...albeit two weight classes down

Jermell shouldn't be attacked for losing--most 168 pounders get KOd by Canelo. If Charlo goes back to 154 he will still be a top fighter.

Even "Euro bum" Ryder did better than "undisputed dawg" Charlo. Cuz, you know, "he's got that dawg in him".

All the privileges and corruption-based protection are of no help once in the ring.

No sir. He deserves all the criticism he is getting because he showed up to not get knocked out rather than to win. I have no use for a man that happy with losing intentionally. That is a serious lack of heart and intestinal fortitude. That man is far too talented to not have the pride and sense of honour one needs to compete at that level. And to be honest he hurt boxing with that performance. All eyes were on boxing this weekend and he fights like that. I won’t spend a pence to see him fight again, not PPV or in person. And to see him proud of himself after that performance is unconscionable

I remember Khan went up 2 weight classes to fight Canelo and gave it a proper go. Yes he got KO'd (no surprise there!) but at least he was trying to win. Charlo played it safe.

There is nothing cool to lose like Kahn being put to sleep.

                  Charlo got outboxed, period.

He could have put more pressure on Nelo but he was not going to drop Nelo, let alone stop him.and just getting hurt himself.

Nobody criticized Mikey Garcia for playing it safe against Spence. Spence got criticized but there's nothing about this situation I guess.
