How about rematching Bivol. He won't do that and take another ass-whipping.

Rematches are hard to make when it's not already agreed on. Especially for a fight that's not for big money.

Last i heard there were issues with the weight. I'd believe Canelo doesn't want to stay at 175 but wants the fight there because if he wins everyone will say he weight drained Bivol. However Bivol wants to go down and fight for the 168 belts.

I am not a Canelo hater. Said many times that he is a damn good fighter. Also said he is overrated and the "greatness" thing is hype.

Canelo lost two fights to GGG. He has fought alot of fighters past their primes....GGG was past his prime by the time Canelo fought him the first time after giving excuses for years....and Kov was taking a nap before the fight and obviously there for a paycheck. He was on the downslope, had been rocked in his recent fights.

He talked about fighting Biev. If he had beaten Biev, I'd have said, he has achieved greatness. Instead he picked Bivol because he seemed like an easy ko. Canelo got whipped badly.

He has put rehydration clauses in many fights. Notably Kov and....Rocky Fielding? Lol. Others as well. Most if not all boxing fans agree, rehydration clauses are a major handicap.

His career is built on weight games and aging fighters. Old Cotto? Did that make him great? Kirkland? JCC jr? Floyd whipped him easily, maybe that makes him great. GGG beat him twice. Old Mosley? Maybe little Khan?

Maybe the drug use and suspension makes him great??

I give him credit for fighting some tough guys, and he has a great chin. But he has a way of not fighting guys in their prime, draining guys with clauses, and now he has tried to pull cruiserweights down with clauses, and little inactive guys up.

Good fighter. Not all time great. And a ton of hype.

If he beats a guy like Biev, no clause, a true p4p champ, I wll give him full credit as a great fghter. But just fighting alot against handicapped guys....nope. He lost to anyone elite that he fought. He isn't elite or great.

We are talking about Canelo. Stop trying to deflect. Bivol already whipped Canelo's a$$. How about Canelo fighting Beterbiev is the bigger question? He is supposed to be the superstar right? Beterbiev would straight knock out the Julio Cesar Chavez wannabe. Canelo is good but overhyped and wayy overrated.

He would do the exact same thing Charlo and many others did. Try and survive. Most likely Crawford would be stopped. He would not be able to bulk up like Charlo. And he would have little punch resistance vs a vicious body puncher.
                  Crawford walks around at 160.

He'd be able to put on 8lbs.

Also, he's a lot more skilled than the Charlos & a much better athlete with a high-school wrestling background, so Canelo is not going to just punk him in there.

Who has he fought like that?

Y'all said GGG's resume was trash & then he went out there & beat Canelo twice & got robbed.

Nobody thought any of those British clowns were going to beat Canelo.

Other than Beterbiev, which NOBODY thinks he's going to fight, he's been avoiding Benavidez & Andrade since 154

Name a current fighter who can fight whoever they want, whenever they want due to their cash cow status?

It's basically Canelo & Tank, who both use that status to cherrypick.

They've tried, if you haven't been paying attention the sanctioning bodies won't let them unify due to both being Russians, while the Ukraine war is happening.

Crawford fights at 160. At 140lbs he usually came in 157lbs.
