Why is this constant nonsense being talked about between fighters who are 2 and 3 weight classes apart from each other?

Fans who only think about boxing through the lens of Manny Pacquiao.

I say it all the time - 99% of world-class fighters are world-class in one or two weight classes for a couple years only. Even guys that are the exception to that, like Canelo who is a three weight champion, only has a belt in that third class because he moved up to catch a guy at just the right time.

Whenever you see a guy dominate a weight class for years, then move up and look bad or have a bad fight as they decline, you'll see fans will expose themselves when they say "See? He got exposed. He was never any good."

One guy went up a weight class and got 8 stoppages in a row. Andrade went up to 168 and might get stopped by Benavidez. If we're going off either p4p or accolades it's pretty logical.

Literally doesn't even make any sense. P4P is a mythical list. It's marketed as the 10 best fighters in boxing when it's not even that. Just because he would be higher on some list doesn't mean he can actually beat him in a real fight tf lol.

I’d imagine the style matchup alone is more problematic here. Not that I have watched Andrade in years. Longer, heavier guy who likes to run and fight negatively. Why Wallin over Gassiev was such an easy pick. Short punching bag who looks for a haymaker vs a much longer and heavier guy who knows how to maintain range. That was an upset somehow.

Andrade has a massive height advantage but apparently the same reach. His more compact ape index might make it easy for him to land short punches on the inside despite being so tall.

Terrance is talking about fighting Canelo but we saw how the size difference made it easy for Canelo to literally punch through Charlo's guard and put him down. Remember how Crawford pushed Spence around all night? He's not going to be doing a whole lot of that especially on the inside with a stockier and more compact body puncher like Canelo.

It's obvious that weight matters, and Demetrius is also a right hand dominant southpaw too which combined with his size advantage could make Crawford look ordinary. Of course Crawford has sharpness and snap but we saw how Charlo's punches couldn't budge Canelo off his front foot.

Would Crawford's skill be good enough to even beat Booboo who is definitely worse than him?

People forget Crawf was an all American wrestler. He's a strong mofo. Everyone kept saying Spence is bigger/stronger, etc. They said same the same about Porter. He handled them. I think he'd do good at 160 due to his background. 168 is tougher to gauge but wouldnt put it past him.
