    I'll take it further and say his corner did him wrong. Dude was getting beat and bravely fought on, but with one eye, a diminishing punch count, and no hope of winning, they shouldve stepped in.

      Yordenis is truly a great guy and a real warrior. I have lots of respect for him as both a man and an athlete. Not putting him down by any means — quite the contrary — but Ugas went a lot further than his natural talents should’ve allowed. 37 years old, and two pastings in the last two fights…time to call it a career.

        Agreed. Sometimes you have to save the warrior from himself. Even one extra, unnecessary punch can have lasting ramifications. Ugas isn’t exactly a KO artist. There was simply no hope, and everything to lose.
