Comments Thread For: Mike Tyson Believes Spence Should Have a "Warm Up Fight" Before Crawford Rematch

There's simply no other way around it, Errol Spence Jr. was dominated by Terence Crawford. With both viewed as pound-for-pound stars operating on the highest level, fans and media pundits were split right down the middle in terms of who would win. Was Spence too big and too strong or was Crawford too skillful for the former unified welterweight champion? Those questions were painfully answered on July 29th.

Errol's KO loss to Bud was similar in severity to when Rocha beat the f..ck out of Blair the flair Cobbs, where they both were stopped on their feet, drunk as hell, flailing helpless on the ropes, just a few good shots away from being knocked out cold. A slow, methodical, calculated, ruthless type of asswhipping. Those kind aren't easy to come back from. When u have determination like Errol does, its possible, but if he's smart, he'll follow Canelo's blueprint after Bivol busted his ass, and just leave Bud alone and move on to the next fighter. There's other fights out there for him, but not Bud. Bud didn't just beat Errol, he painted a masterpiece. For every move Errol made, Bud had picture perfect counters that were tailor made for Errol. He understood every flaw and intention of Errol. He won every second. When someone has your number like that, what can u do different? U can train hard and come in better shape and just take a worse asswhipping. U must be crazy to give Bud another opportunity to paint another masterpiece on ur ass. Then what would u say after that? Don't do it Errol!

I'm with Mike on this one. He should definitely fight a punching bag and get 12 good rounds in.

TUNE UPs are a waste of time.

When did this 'Warm up match' become a method in boxing?

At a certain level of the sports, there are no 'Warm up matches'.

Spence Junior has just fought Crawford, what better preparation and experience for him 'Going into a rematch'.

What Spence Junior needs to do is be training right now, and staying close to fighting weight 'Close to ether the 147 or 154 pound limit, like a old school type fighters i.e Hopkins, Mayweather Junior or Froch' etc.
