Mate, GOOD for Charlo. That's the attitude he's SUPPOSED to have and SHOULD have! He's supposed to talk and feel that way. He's a FIGHTER, not a laptop Teddyboy hiding behind a screen talking snarky, cowardly about another man who actually STEPS in the ring challenging himself in uncharted territories.
He and Canelo are professionals and while they can have respect for each other as peers, that goes out the window the moment that contract is signed and the 1st day of training camp takes place. That other guy is your enemy and his goal is the same as yours. To try his best put you down and keep you there for 10 count or a forced stoppage. If Charlo was to be demure and docile then somethings wrong.
I like his confidence and if it translates into his performance being an effective one, then I will not rule out a possible upset.

charlo looks bigger than alvarez.

He’s taller and longer but both of them walk around 180 something pounds. Canelo cuts less weight than Charlo, to fight at 168.

I don’t think enough people realize what is the size of Jr Middleweights.

For example, at 154, Canelo vs Trout, people complained at how big Canelo was on fight night. He weighed 172lbs. Trout weighed 171lbs.

A lot of these guys from 154-168 are very similar in walk around weight. Some of them just choose to cut more to have that extra advantage vs possibly smaller fighters.

With that said, I do think Charlo will bulk up and look bigger in the ring, along with his other physical dimensions. I’m not going to be surprised by seeing members in the rbr thread shocked at how small Canelo looks in the ring with Charlo.

I dont expect there to be much "size difference" on fight night. i guess we will see how that plays out on fight night.... i think that for things like in the clinch and just appearance they will both look the same, we will have to see how charlo takes canelo's punches because he is used to fighting 154 pounders and canelo has been sitting on his shots now and probably cant make 160 anymore either.
