However, i can understand... he was clearly on the offensive and pushing him back... i personally wouldn't expect him to throw a punch while i'd be whooping that ass like he was. but thats just me. It's one of those lucky punches that get counted as great skill.

That punch was not a grazing punch, look at it carefully it looks very brutal all the veins and muscle definition show when Jackson throws that punch. He was a hard puncher.
