Canelo has options like Crawford and Benavidez who can make fans wet. How do hell he will fight with them without PPV?

Is Showtime becoming DAZN's pre-Canelo-Bivol version? Only subscription?

It's a matter of time. Fighters are being paid way too much who don't sell. Showtime is bleeding money. Espn will be last man standing.

They've been saying this forever. We'll see.

If DAZN can somehow afford to bring on PBC, then they'll have the defacto-monopoly on the sport that everyone has been fighting for since HBO died.

Exactly, what happened to free boxing on TV?

Al Haymon's dumbass doesn't know what the hell is doing, I mean look what happened to Jay-Z's roc nation sports, 50 cents' SMS, and all the other dummies trying to dip their hand in boxing, all went the way of the dodo. So much for the takeover.

Where's the innovation, the new and fresh ideas? Throwing money at it isn't going to fix the problem.

It's like what Larry Merchant said, " nothing will kill or save boxing."

Correct. More frequent fights, and less emphasis on "four belt era" and "undisputed" marketing nonsense. We're long overdue sidelining the corrupt sanctioning bodies.

Problems were originally competitors, more came on the block initially and began overpaying fighters instead of giving them decent money to try to become that main star

they then won’t fight for anything less than the overpaid money and now to afford fighters and what should be normal tv fights. Everyone had to overpay and eventually everyone will leave

Whatever happened to nominal pay days and then if they become a star, they could make the big money on ppv ?

fighters simply don’t fight enough on regular tv anymore, most guys should be fighting 4 times per year easy to gain that public attraction before if they are successful becoming a ppv star

instead to get boxers on their platforms, promoters overpaid them to fight bums for 4-5m per fight, then the promoter charged networks a high fee and so on and because of this fighters are not fighting much either

hopefully this resets boxers, most good boxers should be getting 1m unless they are ppv stars imo earn your way up

dazn should reset boxing if they can, start paying fighters less and get them to fight more often

It's interesting that our beloved BoxingScene won't even mention it.
If this was happening with DAZN we'd be getting at least an article per day.

btw, does this mean that CBC/Paramount will no longer have the incentive to continue ownership of BoxingBcene?

Showtime won’t doing anymore regular Showtime cards or Shobox, they’ll still do PPVs, likely for Canelo fights.

Maybe but no real sources. There are some twitter claims from people like glaser or some guy called raf but ive seen them 2 right plenty of **** that never turned out to be true so i don't see them 2 as legit sources as a lot of others do

Maybe BS is waiting for an official word, rather than speculate on a rumor.
