Comments Thread For: Otto Wallin Understands Why Fury Is Fighting Ngannou But Believes The WBC Should Strip Him

Boxing used to be a simple sport. Its complexities should become even less accentuated when a fighter becomes a world champion. To put it in its simplest form, just fight other good fighters. Tyson Fury, however, is making things far more complicated than it has to be.

Ngannou should learn from Hitchens and just hug Tyson during the fight. It's called sweet science aka art of not getting hit.

Ngannou already ha the experience in wrestling so it wont be too difficult.

I certainly understand why Wallin feels as he does.

Yeah Francis just has to make it past Fury's jab, uppercut, and footwork to hold Fury. Then he has to watch out for Fury's body shots and uppercut in the clinch. Super easy.

It's not a secret why Fury is fighting Francis and it's not a secret why the WBC isn't stripping Fury. I imagine Fury will face Usyk, AJ, or Zhang next as those are his only big money fights after this gimmick fight.

The condition should have been Fury can do this fight but then he 100% has to fight Usyk by March or hes stripped.

Not only WBC won't strip Fury, it'll make a special belt.

It's been about 22 months since he last fought. With no match against a ranked opponent on the horizon, he really should be stripped.

Once he has him in the Clinch, Fury won't be able to Anything. That's why boxers never go to MMA. Take away their stricking and they are useless. Imagine if Fury went into the cage against Francis. It's mistmatch.

Help me with the math there. He last fought 12/22 (Chisora) and 4/22 (Whyte) before that, and at least he's stepping into the ring yet again next month (sure it's a b.s. fight boxing fans at least aren't happy about). Were you referring to when he last fought Wilder? Jermall Charlo hasn't fought PERIOD in TWENTY-SEVEN months and he still has his belt...
