It's genuinely de****able that Benn failed more than one drug test and that the promoters tried to sweep it under the rug until the news got out. That Benn is trying to gain credit or sympathy for this is to add insult to injury.

Given he failed the tests, the best thing would have been for him to have trotted out the old "I don't know how it got in my system" line but at least to have taken ownership of it -- to have acknolwedged it's his responsibility to manage what gets in his body and to have accepted whatever punishment was meted out. By now, he probably would have been able to fight anyway, but at least he would have minimised the damage he is doing to the sport's credibility.

As it is, he is just an awful POS.
