Ddd probably knew he was behind on points. DDD didn't think he could find the one punch ko, the moment had passed.
But it's always good to last distances than be stopped.

Usyk would have gotten up if he had to. This hyperbolic bs makes it hard to keep clicking these lamea$$ articles.
Nobody has argued that Dubois didn't quit. It is all his fellow pros saying he jacked it. There is a bit of a feeling amongst British fighters that they seem a bit ashamed of him. So despite being improved and giving a good contest and hurting the best fighter in his division he's come out of it diminished. Even amongst casuals the expectation is that our fighters go out on their back.
Fighters can say it because they put themselves in there. I could never call a fighter a quiter because logically packing it in when you don't think you can win is sensible. But top fighters aren't sensible.
Tough position for Dubois to be in now regardless of age. If he is seen to jack it again it's over. Frank isn't going to want throw money at him to give him opportunities.

It's likely. Also Usyk was badly hurt when he did get up and Dubois couldn't do anything with him and then got KO'd himself. So there is no point to a rematch because Dubois couldn't even stop a badly hurt Usyk.
