And you guys think he pick the best champ in 135 fighting with Diaz . Why he didn't pick Nate Campbell or Juan Diaz ? but not, he pick David Diaz. Them he pick Hatton. The easy one in 140. Why he didn't pick Timothy Bradley ? Now hte's gonna fight Cotto. But guess what ? In a weight catch at 145. Why if he already fight Oscar in 147 dont fight with Cotto in that weigh. Not but he wants Cotto a little dehydrate. But guess something . Cotto is 28 and have power and speed. And also a good defense. Let see what happen in Nov 14.

Dela Hoya was the one that initiated the challenge and agreed on the catch weight. On the Cotto situation on the other hand, your point is valid. Still, nobody put a gun on Cotto's head and it is still within the WW limits. Cotto weighed in at 146lbs vs Clottey. Hatton was simple economics because he would've drawn more PPV than any of those guys that you mentioned IMO, since he became more known after the fight with PBF. PBF fighting Hatton was more questionable IMO at the time of their fight when PBF could have fought more higher rated and better fighters like Cotto or P.Will or even Mosley. The Diaz situation i have no idea, but just remember that each fight, with Diaz, DLH, and Hatton, all of them Manny was the underdog and the smaller man regardless of the weight with DLH and regardless of Hatton's lost with PBF and Diaz was still the bigger man at that time.
