He would have been perfect for Manny, with regards to Miguel's style. He fights like Cotto, but faster.

I think Omar said no because Roach ask him to spar Manny at a catchweight. Hahaha...

imagine if he actually took up the job. bad decision i think. he's only 22. college will always be there, but this opportunity will not be. What's 2-3 weeks of missing school? Its not like he's going for a MD or a bar exam. he could have helped jump start his career & got to school at the same time. he's gonna regret this.

He got a little publicity on the rumour he will spar with the best. Think how much more he'll get if did actually spar... think millions watching 24/7.

Yeah, education is important to having a bright future and living well. But it's no guarantee either.

Manny Pacquiao didn't have the opportunity to have an education but at a young age of 30, he has now everything he needs and more including the best education he could get after he retires.

Had Omar not been a good friend of Miguel, I bet he would be in Baguio right now.

Agree, bad decision. Missing school is a lame excuse. Education is for keyboard warriors (like us) who does not have superb talent in sports to make a living out of it why he would not just explain the truth? that as a PR and cotto fan, he could not do it?
